Global Chief Economist
Parker is responsible for global economic surveillance, research and forecasting for Arch Capital Group Ltd. He publishes a detailed weekly analysis of the U.S. economy and housing market (HaMMRSM Digest), hosts a quarterly webinar for the public and is a widely sought-after speaker for industry events.
Parker joined Arch in 2021 after working at J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. for six years, most recently as the Head of the Corporate Economics team. Before JPMC, he covered global credit risk at AIG in the Office of the Chief Credit Officer, has nearly a decade of experience as a housing economist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and started his career in Fixed Income Sales & Trading at Isaak Bond Investments.
Parker completed his undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Colorado, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and master’s degrees in economics and finance. He is an active member of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE), the New York Association for Business Economics (NYABE), the American Economic Association (AEA) and the Economic Club of New York.
