As part of our commitment, we’re a long-standing supporter of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s mPower® — Promoting Opportunities for Women to Extend their Reach.
For many years, Arch MI has been a sponsor for the Mortgage Bankers Association’s annual mPowering You Summit for Women in Real Estate Finance, which celebrates the many contributions of women to the industry and creates new professional opportunities by strengthening their peer network.
This year Arch MI is once again the Premier Sponsor for this year’s mPowering You Summit. SVP Valerie Ausband will introduce Carla Harris, speaker at the “Intentional Leadership” General Session on Oct. 14.

General Session, Oct. 14, 3:30–4:30 p.m.
Valerie Ausband, Arch MI SVP, National Field Sales and Strategic Accounts, will introduce speaker Carla Harris at the “Intentional Leadership” General Session, sponsored by Arch MI. Valerie believes in and promotes mPower’s mission and has been active with the group for many years. Carla Harris, Senior Client Advisor and former Vice Chairman at Morgan Stanley, has been recognized as one of U.S. Bankers “Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance” and also by Fortune Magazine’s list of “The Most Powerful Black Executives in Corporate America.” She will share her proven strategies for becoming an impactful leader.
mPower Founder Marcia Davies Shares mPower Moments
Marcia Davies, MBA COO and mPower founder, considers the launch of the mPower network to be a lunch she hosted in 2014, when she invited 75 female industry leaders to discuss relevant issues and network together. As her story goes, when she arrived for the lunch, she found 150 women there eager to participate. To her, this demonstrated the critical need for a group that was formally linked and meeting regularly, and it motivated her to form mPower, now an engaged community of more than 20,000 women and men connecting over virtual platforms and in person to mentor and encourage one another.
